Program Description

FREDERICK University, having solidified a long and well-recognised presence in the field of Cyprus Higher Education, leverages its accumulated experience and the need for dynamic evolution by proceeding in the establishment of a Department of Law.

Its primary goal is to provide students with a thorough and high-quality education in the field of law by harmoniously integrating them in the apprenticeship of the science of law: A systematised body of knowledge that interprets the law in force in a given society as regulatory rules of the social life of people.

The teaching of courses is carried out using various educational institutions and teaching methods, introducing students to the relevant branches of law while encouraging them, at the same time, to refer to specific scientific literature and jurisprudence.

The program offers courses that give emphasis on both the fundamental and specific aspects of the science of law.

The suggestions that follow hereinafter, as well as the detailed program structure are based on our belief that the objectives of a Department of Law are not strictly limited to forming lawyers capable of performing before the court, but also comprehend, on one hand, the integration of graduates in other productive sectors of economy, such as companies, banks, the Civil Service etc, and, on the other, the general role played by the Science of Law in forming a mature society.
