Focusing on key themes and issues within ecology and environmental science, this course will prepare you for a rewarding graduate career addressing the environmental challenges that face our planet. Developing advanced skills in lab work, ecological surveying and geographic information systems, you’ll progress from field training in Snowdonia to field research in the Swiss Alps.
As you advance through the course, you can choose to follow themes that mirror our research specialisms in applied ecology, conservation, monitoring & management, ecological theory, environmental change, water and global sustainability. In your second year you’ll also have the option to take our internship module, which not only provides a critical edge of workplace experience but also awards academic credit towards your degree. You'll be guided by lecturers awarded for their teaching excellence and media work, and internationally-recognised for their frontline research in environmental science.
