Program Description

Gain the skills, knowledge and understanding you need to become a chartered construction professional, able to take on the challenges and opportunities found in our built environment. Our part-time course is fully accredited by the Chartered Institute of Building and the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.

Additional costs:
Safety footwear (steel toe and midsole) - £40
Additional costs for Constructionarium - £250 towards the cost of food and accommodation.

  • 4 GCSEs at grade C, or grade 4, or above, including English and Maths
  • Access to HE Diplomas at overall Pass grade
  • The European Baccalaureate at a minimum overall grade of 60%
  • HND qualifications in a related subject
  • HNC qualifications in a related subject

Alternative English language requirements:

  • Our preferred tests are IELTS, TOEFL iBT and Pearson PTE, so we recommend you take one of these if possible. We also recognise the following qualifications/tests:
  1. Trinity College: Integrated Skills in English (ISE)
  2. LanguageCert International ESOL SELT tests
  3. International English Language Competency Assessment (IELCA)

Important Information:

  • If you don't meet our English language requirements, we offer a range of courses which could help you achieve the level required for entry. We also provide our own English Language Proficiency Test (ELPT) in the UK and overseas.
  • If you've completed study at university level in the UK or your home country you may be eligible to enter directly into Year 2 or 3 of a related degree course at ARU.
