Program Description

The Bachelor’s programme in Financial Management and Services is ideal for you if you would like to work with complex advisory, sales, financial and/or consultancy tasks within for example an accounting company.

The programme is divided into seven semesters. During the first three semesters, you will study the basic subjects that are important to everybody working with complex advisory tasks in the financial sector, including business economics, counselling and ethics, economics, communication and sales. The last four semesters consist of industry specialisation, an internship period and a Bachelor's project.

Teaching at this programme takes place as lectures, classroom instruction, presentations, cases and projects and company visits.

  • Educational experience
  • Work experience (min. 30 hours per week for min. 16 weeks) with certificate of employment
  • Activities for a min. 16 consecutive weeks, e.g. Danish folk highschool stays. Documentation can be certificates, contracts, etc. Please note that documentation for the above activities must be in English.
  • Voluntary unpaid work for 1 year minimum. Documentation can be, for example, a letter of reference.
  • Motivation letter, which should consist of answers to the following questions, (the answer to the three questions must not exceed one A4 page):
  1. What is your knowledge of the programme and the academic content?
  2. What is your reason and motivation for your choice of the programme?
  3. What are your career plans after graduation?

Your answers in this form contain reasons for your choice of programme, knowledge of the academic content of the programme and career perspectives.

Semester 5 (Internship)

The 5th semester of the programme is set aside for a 5-month internship in a company. Your internship can either take place in Denmark or abroad, but please note that it is your own responsibility to find a company and that it can prove difficult to find an internship in Denmark. The programme is concluded with a Bachelor's thesis based on a business issue within the industry of your particular specialisation. The thesis will typically be prepared in collaboration with a company.
